Booking and Reservations FAQs

Yes, we highly recommend booking your charter in advance,especially during peak season. Availability can fill up quickly.

You can book your charter online through our booking page, by phone at (808) 670-3936, or by email on our contact us page.

The price typically includes the boat, captain and crew, fishing equipment and bait (for fishing charters), safety gear, and fishing licenses for those on board (for fishing charters).Food and drinks are usually not included, but we can provide recommendations or coolers for you to bring your own. Please note that the specific inclusions may vary depending on the chosen charter package. Check the details of your chosen charter for exact inclusions.

If a charter guest cancels more than 72 hours before charter you may get a full refund or have the option to rebook.  Cancelations of less than 72 hours will not be issued a refund.  No refunds will be given after the charter has begun.

Charter Packages FAQs

Surreel Charters offers a variety of exciting adventures on the water to suit your needs and budget. We have two main charter packages:

Half-Day Fishing Charter: This 4-5 hour adventure is perfect for those who want to experience the thrill of sportfishing without a full day commitment. The price is $2,500.00.

Full-Day Fishing Charter: For the serious angler, our full-day charter offers 8-10 hours on the water,maximizing your chances of landing that trophy catch. The price is $3,000.00.

Sunset Cruise: This 3-hour cruise is perfect for families on vacation wanting a beautiful sunset cruise around Honolulu, small groups wanting an extremely cool adventure on Hawaiian waters, and couples seeking a romantic cruise. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and unwind on the water as the sun dips below the horizon. The price is $1,750.00. Please note that fishing is not included in the Sunset Cruise.

A deposit of $500 is needed to reserve the boat.  The balance may be added to your credit card or paid in cash the day of.  Last minute cancelations or no shows will be charged the full amount to your credit card.  Typical gratuity for the crew is 20%.  This is preferred in cash for the crew but may also be added to your credit card.  a 4% surcharge will be added to all credit card transactions.

Fishing Experience FAQs

In general we will meet at the boat at 5:30 am for full day charters unless otherwise discussed.  You will have some time to get settled in and go over safety info.  We usually leave the dock at 6 am.

Food and drinks, Alcohol is ok.  Please bring can beer and not glass bottles. sunglasses, sunscreen, windbreaker or rain jacket, it can get chilly so a sweatshirt or extra layers are a good idea. The deck is covered in Deckit which is a soft layer so shoes are not super important but water shoes or light soled deck shoes can be worn. If you have any doubt about getting sea sick you should take medication the night before as well as the morning of.

Any fish over 100lbs stays with the boat.  Charter guests may keep up to 50lbs.  If needed we will fillet your fish at the dock for you!

Sea Sickness FAQs

If there is any doubt in your mind that you might get sea sick, please take medication.  Start the night before! You’ll thank us. Scopolomine, bonine and several others are good options. There will be no refund if we come in early for a charter due to seasickness.
